Graham is a dedicated fly fisherman, so when we decided to fish the estuary at Crow Point I decided to take some very light lure fishing kit to see how the two compared. In the past there has been little difference, but with Muike coming along with his tackle not being suited to the conditions (he hadn't fished before) we regularly swapped gear.
Graham caught the most but what was most pleasing was that the size of the bass was markedly bigger than last year. Let's hope this has been boosted by the new EA regulations banning netting in nursery estuaries such as this and this is a sign of things to come.
