ABU Cardinal Bronco Spinning reel - unused This spinning reel is the ABU Garcia Bronco 5 and is in superb condition. Although it has line on the spool there is no evidence it has ever been used as it is in mint condition with warranty booklet.
The reel is rear drag switchable check, quick release spool and an automatic closing bail arm.
ABU tackle is renowned for it quality so if you need a spinning reel for line of 12 to 17lbs, this IS the one for you

Allcock Aerialite 3.75" Bakelite ReelThis Aerialite reel (the cheap entry to centre pin reels) was a successor to the wooden Nottingham reel from Allcock, one of the first plastic reels which is water resistant and never warps. This was ideal with braid lines, but with the advent of monofilament, the spools used to get crushed by the pressure of line stretch. This is an early model of 3.75" diameter fitted with an optional check on the reverse and a line guide.

Allcock Aerialite Reel, 3.5" diameterThis reel was manufactured by Allcock's of Redditch, probably the largest tackle manufacturer in the world in that era. It is made from Bakelite which didn't suffer from warping as the wooden reels of the period did. It was Reg Trade Mk 636471 Patent No 300026

Allcock Kasteasy Fixed Spool ReelThis is a basic fixed spool reel manufactured for the threadline (fine line market). The spool is tapered for extra casting distance. The bail arm is closed by rotating the handle which makes it hit the "leg" and closes.

Beautiful 3.5" Alloy Fly ReelThis fly reel was probably made in the 1950's as the style is very much Hardy of that period with a two screw drum latch, rim controlled drag , brass foot etc, all the hallmarks of Hardy but not name, either inside or outside. Was it freelance job, or made by the likes of J W Young? I would think the latter but the quality is excellent.
It is 3.5" diameter overall with a 3" spool 1" wide fitted with WF8S line. The photographs don't do it justice.
