CAP Fixed spool reel (before Mitchell 304)

This fixed spool reel in manufactured by Carpontier and Pons.  The company changed its brand to Mitchell to enter the American market as they thought it would sound more normal to the "yanks", This reel went on to become the Mitchell 304.  This is the original in superb condition as the photographs show with little sign of use; it even has all the paint on the foot, a tell tale sign of a reel having been used. It would be great for Mitchell collectors or even fishing with retro tackle.
