It seemed only a few days since Keith, Lee and I went grayling fishing on the upper Wye, initiating Keith on the joys of trotting, and i didn't take much persuading to have another go.
This was different though, after the last time when the weather was clear and warm, this time our trip followed a very heavy frost. We didn't think this would affect the fish too much as grayling can be caught in all weathers, but it certainly affected our knees legs and feet, standing nearly waist deep in ice cold water. We couldn't stand it for too lonf, especially as I had taken my thin summer waders.
Still we managed a few fish each, none of any great size but it was still a pleasant day out with good company, and I suspect it may not be too long before we try it again
