The day was meant to be mullet fishing but with Graham, Reg and I but there
were none to be seen at low tide. I don't know if this was because it was
midday, or the sediment in the water due to the spring tides. Always there is
so much to learn.
So we changed plan and nipped to Darracott Reservoir where on the second cast
fishing with corn using a size 12 under a 4BB float, I caught this pretty
double figure carp. As I didn’t have an unhooking mat I laid it on this clean
grass.
I was a touch fortunate as the hook
pulled out but got lodged in the tail, but pulling it in backwards lead to a
great scrap, unusual for carp of this size.
