It was one of those rare days when the sun shone so I closed
the shop at 4 and headed to the local reservoir. I know it still wasn't the
16th but it was close enough on such a glorious day. I set myself up with
standard float tackle and a tin of corn in the shallower end of Darracott
Reservoir and had a bite a chuck all evening but couldn't get past the shoal of
rudd to find better fish, and they range from very small to small as shown in
the picture, but they are still really beautiful fish. I did catch a bream and
a couple of roach but the rudd just kept coming. But with the sun on my back, long tailed tits
in the trees ad a friendly chaffinch, the world was a wonderful place.
