This diary sections shows what we get up to, sometimes in the business but often around and about.  As I go fishing on every chance I get, I thought you might like to see what I catch in each place, tactics and bait used.  You will soon realise that I am not a sophisticated angler and anybody can do what I do (most people probably better)

Christmas on the Wye Christmas on the WyeWe decided that, for a change this year, we would spend Christmas on the banks of the Wye in a small cottage over the Christmas week with Lee, our oldest son, and Jenny, our youngest daughter. Fishing the Freezing Tone Fishing the Freezing ToneAfter fishing the Wye, we returned to Devon. Lee was determined to get a couple more sessions in before he had to return to Edinburgh. So we scratched our heads about which river we could fish in sub zero temperatures where we stod a chance of catching fish. Chris Yates visits River Reads Chris Yates visits River ReadsOn Saturday, 20th September 2008, people travelled to North Devon from Oxford, Aylesbury, Hertfordshire, London, Somerset, Plymouth, Nuneaton and Kent, especially to meet angling icon, Chris Yates. He was visiting River Reads' bookshop in Torrington to sign copies of his latest gem, Out of the Blue, and judging by the smiles on people's faces, they weren't disappointed by their meeting.
