River Reads, together with Angling Heritage attended the Barbel
Show in Kenilwoth on May 4th. It was the chosen venue for the launch
of Recollections III with Bob Buteux and Len Arbery, two iconic anglers known
for their development of winter barbel fishing.
It prove a great day out with John Bailey, Terry Theobold
and Mark Everard as guest speakers, and a host of other anglers; a great place
to meet up with old friends and to put a name to faces of many of our
customers.
The launch of the book went very well with 30 standard
volumes arriving on the Friday afternoon before the show, and we sold 27 of
them of the day. A great day out with two anglers and we hope that the book
does justice for how much they have given to angling over the years.
